Worth watching first
A shop air cleaner with a 360-degree intake and four MERV-11 filters, rated for shops up to 1,700 sq ft.
- First sander DEWALT DWE6423K
- Big machine DEWALT DW735X
This page tracks Black Friday woodworking deals on the machines this site covers: sanders, planers, routers, multi-tools, dust extractors, dust collectors and shop air cleaners. It is not a list of every discounted drill. Every machine below is one I already recommend in a full buying guide, so if it drops in price you know it was worth buying at a normal price too.
I don’t print prices or discount percentages here. During Black Friday week Amazon prices change by the hour, and a number I write today would be wrong by tomorrow. Each Check Price button opens the live Amazon listing with whatever price, coupon or deal is running when you click. Below the list you’ll find how to tell a real deal from a relabeled list price, and what changes on Cyber Monday and during Prime events.
When Are Black Friday and Cyber Monday?
Black Friday is the day after US Thanksgiving, which falls on the fourth Thursday of November. In 2026 that puts Black Friday on Friday, November 27 and Cyber Monday on Monday, November 30. I update this page every year, so the URL stays the same.
Early Black Friday Deals
In recent years Amazon has opened its Black Friday sale well before the Friday itself, often a week or more ahead, and kept deals running through Cyber Monday. Tool brands and retailers tend to follow the same pattern. That means the best time to start watching is early November, not the night before.
Lightning Deals and Limited-Time Offers
Some discounts on Amazon are time-boxed or limited by quantity. If a machine you have been waiting for shows a limited-time deal, the honest advice is simple: if the price is one you would pay anyway, buy it; if you are only buying because a timer is running, don’t.
Quick List: The Machines Worth Watching First
Seven machines, one for each kind of buyer, from a first sander to a shop air cleaner. Every other machine on this page has its own section below, grouped by brand.

How to Tell a Real Woodworking Tool Deal
A struck-through list price is not proof of a discount. These five checks take a couple of minutes and catch most of the fake ones.
1. Look at the Price History, Not the List Price
Free trackers such as Keepa and camelcamelcamel chart a product’s Amazon price over months. If the “deal” price is the same price the machine sold for most of October, it is a normal price with a new label. A real deal is below the product’s usual selling price, not below a list price nobody pays.
2. Match the Exact Model Number
Tool makers sell the same machine under several codes. DeWalt’s suffixes are the clearest example: a “B” is the bare tool, “C1”, “D1” or “P1” kits add batteries of different sizes, and a “K” adds a case or bag. Holiday listings often mix these, so a cheap “DCW210” may be the bare tool while the one you compared it with came with a battery.
3. Count the Batteries
For cordless tools, batteries and chargers are a large share of the price. Holiday bundles that add a battery are often better value than a discount on the bare tool, but only if you need another battery. If you already own the platform, the bare tool at its normal price can beat the bundle.
4. Check Who Sells and Ships It
On the listing, look at the seller. “Ships from and sold by Amazon.com” and authorized dealers are the safe choices for tools with long warranties, because some makers tie warranty coverage to where you bought the tool. A third-party seller at a suspiciously low price is a reason to read the listing carefully, not a bargain.
5. Don’t Upgrade Into the Wrong Tool
A discount on a belt sander doesn’t help if your projects need a random orbital. Decide which machine fits your work first, using the guides linked in the table, and then wait for that machine to drop. That way any discount is a bonus rather than the reason you bought it.
💡 Pro Tip
Make a short list now: the two or three machines you would buy anyway, with the exact model number and the price you consider fair. When the deals open, you are only checking those listings against your own number, not scrolling through hundreds of offers.
DeWalt Black Friday Deals: Sanders, Routers and Planers
DeWalt sells a huge range, and most of what appears in DeWalt Black Friday deals is drills, impact drivers and combo kits. The machines below are the DeWalt tools that matter for woodworking and finishing. On the cordless side, 20V MAX kits that include a battery are where DeWalt holiday bundles tend to concentrate; on the corded side, discounts are usually smaller but the tools are cheaper to begin with.
DEWALT DWE6423K Random Orbital Sander Kit

The corded DeWalt sander most shops start with
The DWE6423K is DeWalt’s 5-inch corded random orbital sander: a 3 A motor, a variable speed dial from 8,000 to 12,000 OPM and a 3-year warranty. Its dust port fits DeWalt’s DWV010 and DWV012 extractors directly, which makes it the simplest route to a dustless setup if you add an extractor later.
The “K” in the model number means it comes with a kit bag. Holiday listings sometimes appear as the bare DWE6423 or in bundles with sandpaper: compare like with like before you call it a deal.
Full comparison: best random orbital sanders.
DEWALT DWE6411K 1/4-Sheet Palm Sander

Square pad for corners and finish work
A 1/4-sheet palm sander with a 2.3 A motor at 14,000 OPM, a 2.8 lb body and DeWalt’s 3-year warranty. The square pad reaches into inside corners that a round orbital pad can’t, and it runs on plain quarter sheets cut from standard sandpaper, so the consumables stay cheap.
It pairs well with a random orbital: the orbital does the stock removal, the palm sander does the corners and the final pass.
More options: best palm sanders.
DEWALT DCW210D1 20V MAX Cordless Orbital Sander Kit

Cordless kit with battery and charger
The DCW210 is DeWalt’s brushless 20V MAX 5-inch random orbital sander, with a stepless speed dial from 8,000 to 12,000 OPM. This listing is the D1 kit: the sander, a 2.0 Ah battery, a charger and a bag.
Cordless sanders are where holiday bundles make the biggest difference, because the battery and charger are a large share of the cost. If you already own DeWalt 20V MAX batteries, the bare tool (DCW210B) is the cheaper way in, so check both listings.
Every platform compared: best cordless sanders.
DEWALT DCS356D1 20V MAX XR Oscillating Multi-Tool Kit

The multi-tool for scraping, plunge cuts and detail sanding
A brushless 20V MAX XR oscillating multi-tool with three speed settings plus a variable trigger, up to 20,000 OPM, and a universal blade adapter. The D1 kit includes a 2.0Ah battery, a charger and cutting and sanding attachments.
For a woodworker, a multi-tool is the tool that does the jobs nothing else reaches: flush-cutting dowels and door casing, scraping old finish out of corners, and sanding with a triangular pad where even a detail sander won’t fit.
Nine multi-tools compared: best oscillating multi-tool.
DEWALT DW618PK Fixed and Plunge Base Router Kit

A full-size router with two bases
The DW618PK is a 2-1/4 HP (maximum motor HP), 12 A router sold with both a fixed and a plunge base. DeWalt lists electronic variable speed from 8,000 to 24,000 rpm with feedback control to hold speed under load, a soft start, and a micro-fine depth ring that adjusts in 1/64-inch steps.
Two-base kits are the router equivalent of a battery bundle: the second base costs a lot on its own, so the kit is the version worth waiting for.
How it compares with other routers: best routers for woodworking.
DEWALT DW735X 13-Inch Thickness Planer

The benchmark benchtop planer
The DW735X is a 13-inch benchtop thickness planer with a three-knife cutterhead, a 15 A motor and two feed speeds (96 or 179 cuts per inch), so you can run rough stock fast and finish passes slow. At about 101 lb it is a two-person lift, and DeWalt covers it for 3 years.
Planers are a category where a modest percentage off still means real money. The thing to check on any planer deal is what’s in the box: the “X” kit and the base model are sold as separate listings.
All six planers compared: best thickness planer, and the head-to-head DW735 vs DW734.
DEWALT DWV010 HEPA Dust Extractor

Dust extraction for sanders
An 8-gallon HEPA dust extractor rated at 150 CFM, with a filter that cleans itself automatically every 30 seconds, a 15 ft anti-static hose and a tool-activated outlet, so it starts and stops with your sander. Warranty is 3 years.
If you only buy one thing for dust this season, an extractor matched to your sander does more for your lungs and your finish than a stronger sander.
More extractors: best dust extractor.
Makita Black Friday Deals: Sanders, Planers and Routers
Makita’s holiday offers have often centered on its 18V LXT cordless line and on bonus-battery promotions. For woodworking, the corded Makita sanders and compact router below are long-running models that rarely change, which makes them easy to price-check against their usual price.
Makita BO5041K 5-Inch Random Orbit Sander

Wide speed range and a front handle
Makita’s BO5041K runs from 4,000 to 12,000 OPM, a wider range than most 5-inch sanders, which helps when you move from stripping to finish work on veneer. It has a 3 A motor, a pad brake, through-the-pad dust collection and a removable front handle for two-handed control.
The low end of that speed range is the reason to pick it over cheaper orbitals: slow speeds are what keep thin veneer and soft finishes from burning through.
Compared with the rest: random orbital sander reviews.
Makita BO4556K 1/4-Sheet Finishing Sander

Low vibration, square pad
A compact 1/4-sheet finishing sander with a 2.0 A motor at 14,000 OPM, sold with a tool case. It is known for low vibration and a dust bag that actually catches the dust, which matters on long finish passes.
Like any sheet sander, it takes ordinary sandpaper cut to size, so it costs very little to keep running.
More picks: best sheet sanders.
Makita KP0800K 3-1/4-Inch Hand Planer

A hand planer for doors, edges and scribing
The KP0800K planes up to 3-1/4 inches wide and 3/32 inch deep per pass with a 6.5 A motor and a two-blade cutterhead at 17,000 RPM. A spring-loaded stand lifts the base off the bench so the blades and the workpiece don’t touch when you set it down.
A hand planer is the fix for doors that stick, uneven edges and fitting boards to an out-of-square wall: jobs a thickness planer can’t do because the work can’t go through a machine.
Corded and cordless options: best hand planers.
Makita RT0701CX7 Compact Router Kit

Compact router with a plunge base
The RT0701CX7 is Makita’s 1-1/4 HP (maximum) compact router in a kit with extra bases. It has a variable speed dial from 10,000 to 30,000 RPM, electronic speed control to hold speed under load, a rack-and-pinion fine depth adjustment and a quick-release cam lock for depth and base changes.
Compact routers handle most edge work, hinge mortises and small dadoes with one hand, which is why many woodworkers reach for theirs more often than a full-size router.
Full-size, compact and cordless routers side by side: best routers for woodworking.
Festool Black Friday: What to Expect
Festool works differently from DeWalt or Makita. In the US, Festool tools are sold through authorized dealers, and the advertised price tends to be the same from one dealer to the next. Festool’s seasonal promotions have more often taken the form of bundles, bonus accessories or limited editions than straight price cuts, and Festool also runs a reconditioned-tool program. So the honest expectation for Festool Black Friday is a better bundle, not a much lower price.
Two things are worth checking on any Festool listing: that the seller is an authorized Festool dealer, and how the warranty works, since Festool’s coverage depends on registration and on where you bought the tool.
Festool ETS 125 REQ-Plus Random Orbital Sander

Compact 5-inch finish sander
The ETS 125 REQ-Plus is Festool’s compact 5-inch finish sander: a 250 W motor, 6,000 to 12,000 OPM and a fine 2 mm stroke for the last passes before finish. It is light enough for vertical and overhead work, and the warranty runs 3 years when registered.
It is also the least expensive way into the Festool sanding system, which makes it the Festool most often bought as a first one.
Every Festool sander compared: which Festool sander to buy.
Festool ETS EC 150/5 EQ-Plus Random Orbital Sander

Low-profile brushless 6-inch sander
A low-profile 6-inch sander with a 400 W brushless motor that holds speed under load, 6,000 to 10,000 OPM, a 5 mm stroke and a weight of about 3.5 lb. The low body puts your hand close to the work, which gives more control on large panels and tabletops.
This is the Festool people compare with the Mirka DEROS, and the choice usually comes down to which extractor and abrasive system you already own.
Head to head: Festool vs Mirka.
Festool DTS 400 REQ-Plus Delta Sander

Delta sander for frames, doors and trim
The DTS 400 REQ-Plus is a 250 W delta sander with a 100 x 150 mm triangular pad, 6,000 to 12,000 RPM and a 2 mm stroke. It holds its speed under load, which is what separates it from light-duty detail sanders on long jobs like window frames and paneled doors.
If you own a Festool extractor, this is the detail sander that plugs straight into it.
All detail sanders: best detail sanders.
Festool CT 15 HEPA Dust Extractor

The smallest serious Festool extractor
The CT 15 holds about 4 gallons (15 L), moves 130 CFM, has a HEPA filter and automatic tool start, and weighs about 23 lb, so you can carry it to a job. Festool covers it for 3 years.
With Festool, the extractor is the part of the system that changes your results most: the sanders are built around it.
The whole range: Festool dust extractors compared.
Bosch and Mirka Sander Deals
Bosch makes some of the most recommended entry and mid-range sanders, and Mirka makes the premium electric sander many finishers measure everything against. Both are sold on Amazon by Amazon itself or by third-party sellers, so check the seller line on each listing.
Bosch ROS20VSC Random Orbital Sander

Light, simple and widely recommended
A 3.5 lb, 2.5 A 5-inch random orbital sander with variable speed from 7,500 to 12,000 OPM and a microfilter canister that keeps dust in when you empty it. It is one of the most recommended entry sanders for a reason: it does the basic job well and stays comfortable over a long session.
Sanders at this tier sometimes show up in holiday lightning deals; it is still a good buy at a normal price.
The full review: Bosch ROS20VSC review.
Bosch GET65-5N Dual-Mode Random Orbit Sander

Turbo mode for stripping, random orbit for finishing
The GET65-5N has two modes: a gear-driven Turbo mode that Bosch says removes up to 3 times more stock, and a normal random orbit mode for finish work. It runs on a 6.5 A motor at 3,300 to 7,800 OPM and weighs about 5.3 lb.
It is the sander to watch if you strip paint, flatten glue-ups or refinish floors and decks, where a palm sander simply takes too long.
For stripping: best sanders to remove paint.
Bosch GEX34-6N 6-Inch Random Orbit Sander

6-inch pad that takes most paper
A 6-inch sander and polisher with a 3.3 A motor, 5,500 to 12,000 OPM and a 5/32-inch orbit. Its multi-hole pad lines up with most brands of 6-inch hook-and-loop discs, so you are not locked into one abrasive maker.
A 6-inch pad covers about 44 percent more area than a 5-inch one, which adds up on tabletops and doors.
For dust-free sanding: best dustless sander.
Mirka DEROS 650CV Random Orbital Sander

The reference dust-free sander
Mirka’s DEROS 650CV is a 350 W brushless 6-inch sander with a 5 mm orbit, a weight of about 2.4 lb and a central air inlet that pulls dust through the pad. It is the sander auto body shops and furniture finishers compare everything else to.
Watch the seller on this one: check who ships it and what comes in the box, because listings differ in case, cord and pad.
The full review: Mirka DEROS review.
WEN, JET and BLACK+DECKER: Benchtop Machines and Budget Picks
This is where most first-time shop buyers start. WEN sells benchtop machines at entry and mid-range tiers, JET sits at the serious-hobbyist end, and BLACK+DECKER covers small, inexpensive sanders for DIY work.
WEN 6502T Belt and Disc Sander

The starter benchtop sander
A benchtop combination sander with a 4 x 36-inch belt, a 6-inch disc and a cast iron base that keeps vibration down. The motor is rated at 4.3 A (1/2 HP), and WEN covers it for 2 years.
A belt and disc sander is the shop tool for shaping small parts, squaring ends and cleaning up curves, and it is a common first stationary machine.
More benchtop machines: best benchtop belt sanders.
WEN PL1326 13-Inch Spiral Thickness Planer

Spiral cutterhead at a mid-range tier
The PL1326 is a 13-inch benchtop planer with a spiral cutterhead of 26 HSS inserts, a 6-inch maximum thickness and a 26 ft per minute feed. Each insert can be rotated to a fresh edge, and the shearing cut handles figured grain with less tear-out than straight knives.
Spiral heads used to be a premium upgrade, which is why this one is worth watching next to the DeWalt.
All planers: best thickness planer.
JET JWDS-1632 Drum Sander

Open-end drum sander with SandSmart feed
A 1.5 HP open-end drum sander that sands up to 32 inches wide in two passes and stock up to 3 inches thick, with a variable feed from 0 to 10 feet per minute and SandSmart control that slows the feed when the drum is loaded. JET’s warranty is 5 years.
Big machines rarely get dramatic percentage cuts, but on a machine at this tier even a small one is worth watching for.
The full review: JET 16-32 drum sander review.
BLACK+DECKER BDEMS600 Mouse Detail Sander

Small, cheap and good in corners
A 1.2 A detail sander at 14,000 to 16,000 OPM with a pointed pad, a detail finger attachment for spindles and trim, and its own dust canister. It weighs about 2.4 lb and has a 2-year warranty.
It is not a machine for big surfaces, but for stair spindles, chair rungs and window frames it is the cheapest tool that does the job.
More options: best detail sanders.
Black Friday Dust Collector and Air Filtration Deals
Dust control is the category most woodworkers put off, and the one I’d move to the top of a Black Friday list. A sander with good extraction leaves a better surface, a collector keeps chips off the floor and out of the planer, and an air cleaner deals with the fine dust that stays in the air. Here are the four I’d watch, from shop air down to a shop vac upgrade.
ALORAIR PureCare 1350IG Air Filtration System

Shop air cleaner for the fine dust you can’t see
The PureCare 1350IG pulls air in through a 360-degree intake at 1,050 or 1,350 CFM, through four MERV-11 filters, with a built-in ionizer. ALORAIR rates it for shops up to 1,700 sq ft; it weighs 27 lb, and the warranty is 1 year.
Sanders and collectors catch most of the dust at the source; an air cleaner deals with the fine dust that stays in the air after you stop. It is the piece most shops add last and the one that changes how the shop feels the most.
All the air cleaners I recommend: best shop air filtration systems.
JET AFS-1000C Air Filtration System

Air cleaner with an air quality sensor
JET’s AFS-1000C moves 1,000 CFM through a 1-micron filter on a 120V circuit. An air quality sensor runs its six speeds automatically, a filter indicator tells you when to change filters, and JET rates the noise at 51 to 67 dB. The warranty is 5 years.
It hangs from the ceiling, so it costs no floor space.
Compared with the ALORAIR: shop air filtration systems.
JET DC-1100VX-CK Dust Collector

1.5 HP collector on a 115V outlet
A 1.5 HP single-stage collector rated at 1,100 CFM that runs on a standard 115V outlet and rewires to 230V. A Vortex Cone separates chips from fine dust before they reach the 2-micron canister filter, and JET backs it for 5 years.
If you are adding a table saw, jointer or planer, this is the size of collector those machines need, and most small shops can power it.
Small shops: best dust collector for a small shop. Bigger systems: dust collector reviews.
Oneida Dust Deputy 2.5 Deluxe Cyclone Separator

Turns a shop vac into a dust system
A cyclone on a 5-gallon bucket with four casters, built for the 2-1/2-inch hoses of full-size wet/dry vacs. Oneida claims it separates over 99 percent of fine dust before it reaches the vac, which keeps the vac filter from clogging.
For a small shop running handheld sanders and one benchtop machine, a separator on a shop vac you already own is the cheapest real upgrade in dust control.
All separators: best dust separator.
Cyber Monday Tool Deals: What Changes
Cyber Monday falls three days after Black Friday, and for tools the two have largely merged into one long sale. Many Black Friday offers on Amazon stay live through Cyber Monday, and some new ones appear on the Monday itself.
Is It Cheaper on Black Friday or Cyber Monday?
There is no fixed rule. Some machines hit their lowest price of the season before Black Friday, some on Cyber Monday, and some don’t move at all. A price tracker answers the question for the specific model you want far better than any general rule.
Stock Runs Out Before Prices Do
For popular sanders and kits, the bigger risk on Cyber Monday is not a higher price but an empty listing or a long delivery estimate, especially for gifts. If the price is already one you are happy with on Black Friday, waiting three days rarely pays.
After Cyber Monday
Amazon has in past years extended its return window for holiday purchases. Check the current policy on the listing before you buy a large machine as a gift, and keep the box until it is unwrapped and tested.
Prime Day and Prime Big Deal Days Tool Deals
Amazon’s own sales are the other times worth watching. Prime Day usually runs in July, and in recent years Amazon has also held a second Prime event in October, called Prime Big Deal Days. Check Amazon’s announcements for this year’s dates.
Prime-Exclusive Prices
Prime event deals are generally for Prime members only, so the price you see logged out may not be the one a member gets. If you aren’t a member, a free trial can cover the event.
Prime Day or Black Friday?
For tools, neither is reliably better. Some machines are discounted at both, some at only one. If a machine on your list reaches your target price at either event, that is the time to buy it.
How I Chose the Machines on This Page
Every machine here appears in one of my full buying guides on sanderscore.com, where it was chosen on published specifications, manufacturer documentation and what each tool is built to do. For this page I kept only the machines that:
- Are sanders or woodworking machines: sanders, planers, routers, multi-tools, dust extraction and air filtration. No drills or impact drivers.
- Are on sale on Amazon US when I checked the listings for this update.
- Have a full guide on this site you can read before buying, linked under each pick.
I don’t show prices, discount percentages or star ratings. Prices change constantly in deal season, and the Amazon button always shows the live one. I don’t claim a machine is discounted unless you can see it on the listing.
🏆 The Short Version
Decide what you need before the deals start, then watch only those listings. For a first sander, the DEWALT DWE6423K and the Bosch ROS20VSC are safe buys at any normal price. If your shop is dusty, the ALORAIR PureCare 1350IG air cleaner or a Dust Deputy on your shop vac will change your shop more than a new sander. And if you are saving for one big machine, the DEWALT DW735X is the planer to wait for.
